Introduction
We are preparing IRQLinux 1.0 to be released in 2014. With this Pre-Alpha, you can see what we are trying out in preparation for our stable (final) version.

NOTE:
This is a Pre-Alpha Release. Pre-Alpha Releases are NOT recommended for:
  • Regular users who are not aware of pre-release issues
  • Anyone who needs a stable system
  • Anyone uncomfortable running a possibly frequently broken system
  • Anyone in a production environment with data or workflows that need to be reliable
Pre-Alpha Releases are recommended for:
  • Regular users who want to help IRQLinux Team to TEST by finding, reporting, and/or fixing bugs
  • IRQLinux developers

Download IRQLinux Pre-Alpha

  • Before you download the pre-alpha, please remember NOT to install it on a real hardware but rather use a Virtual Machine, such as Oracle VirtualBox.
  • IRQLinux Pre-Alpha 64-bit

Check MD5SUM for the downloaded ISO
It is recommended to check your image file so your pre-release is as it’s supposed to be. Compare your MD5 checksum with the correct one:

Known Issues

(1) Check disc for defects does not work

(2) After installing IRQLinux Pre-Alpha on Oracle VirtualBox, and when the installation is done, the VirtualBox or Virtual Machine will not reboot so you need to manually close the Virtual Machine and re-run it. This is a very well-known issue on Oracle VirtualBox (google it).
